Established in 1996, Cafe Caribe has been pouring cafe con leche and serving the neighborhood ever since. What started as a small spot for regulars has grown into one of Carrollwood's most beloved breakfast and lunch cafes — but at heart, we're still the same family kitchen we always were.
Our menu draws from the Cuban and Spanish-American traditions that shaped us growing up. We make our sandwiches with bread we press to order, simmer black beans low and slow, fold empanadas by hand, and pull every shot of espresso fresh. It takes a little longer that way — and it's exactly the way it's supposed to taste.
We're proud to have been voted Tampa's Best Cafe Con Leche by the people who matter most: the customers who walk through our door every morning. Some of them have been coming since the day we opened. Others discovered us last week. Either way, you'll get the same warm welcome.
